Italian Serie A introduced a new badge of honour for the 2019/20 campaign and also part of the new identity of the Italian league. The blue patch features the new league logo as well as laurel wreath in gold, with a small Italian flag detail at the bottom.
The special badge is where the selected individual players will wear a special gold crest on their shirts throughout the new campaign to celebrate significant individual accolades. Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella, the Serie A 2018-19 season top scorer, the only player to wear the badge this season, he's expected to be joined by the winners of the 2018/19 campaign, Best Goalkeeper: Samir Handanovic, Best Defender: Kalidou Koulibaly, Best Midfielder: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Best Young Player: Nicolò Zaniolo, and MVP: Cristiano Ronaldo.
