Inspire by the Tower of the Sun by Taro Okamoto. On the back is the Black Sun which is said to represent the past. Next to this are 2 jagged lines along the front of the sculpture and this is said to represent thunder. On the front,  an abstract, moon-like orb, sits squarely in the center of the sculpture. It represents the present.

Gamba Osaka Commemorative "GAMBA EXPO 2017" Match Kits

The Gamba Osaka inaugural limited commemorative "GAMBA EXPO 2017" kits with the Tower of the Sun, against Jubilo Iwata, J1-League match on August 13th, 2017 at the Suita City Football Stadium.

GAMBA EXPO 2017, the purpose of the activity was to “contribute to the regeneration of the tree of life inside the Tower of the Sun” in Gamba Osaka's Chikara. With fans and supporters, donating donations on the day, part of sales of replica uniforms, charity auction sales (excluding expenses) of signed uniforms from players, to the revitalization business, and inside the 'tower of the sun' nameplate has also been posted.

The name is "GAMBA EXPO" and the and the Expo is the “sacred ground” of Gamba. Many dramas were born, and the Expo Memorial Park, which is the "sacred ground" for Gamba Osaka, has long been a place of rest for many people as the site of the 1970 Japan World Expo. And in 2009, about 40 years after the Japan World Expo, Gamba will once again become "a regional pride", Gamba Osaka announced a concept of building a stadium with donations that do not get caught up with conventional wisdom and established concepts. The City Suita Football Stadium, which opened last year, is also built in the Expo Memorial Park. Gamba will once again become "a regional pride", and so that the whole World Expo Memorial Park will become a "better place of rest" for everyone in the power of sports, and will be able to deliver excitement, Taro Okamoto Memorial Foundation Cooperation with the Foundation for Contemporary Art Promotion. We are planning to carry out a collaboration project with the Tower of the Sun.

Tower of the Sun (Present)
Printed on the front, the Tower of the Sun is a building created by Japanese artist Tarō Okamoto. The tower has three faces on its front and back represent the past, present, and future of humanity. The largest face, an abstract, moon-like orb, sits squarely in the center of the sculpture. It represents the present.

As the requested,  I'm already started the basic worked on these Gamba Osaka Expo version kits. More detailed review during the worked progress will be posted on my blog. Any sources, references and comment are welcome.

Gamba Osaka Commemorative "GAMBA EXPO 2018" Kits

Japanese club, Gamba Osaka announced the limited commemorative "GAMBA EXPO 2018" kits against San Frecce Hiroshima, J1-League match on September 29, 2018 as the Gamba EXPO. Last year, the tower of the sun was open for the first time in about half a century, and Osaka Prefecture took the lead in implementing the “Tower interior revitalization project”. The difference from last year is that the interior of the tower of the sun is designed.I'm looking for the inner side, the tree of life, and the victory this year.

Design Story
The front and back of the uniform designed by Taro Okamoto's masterpiece art are posted as up as possible. Its design and force clearly surpass last year's commemorative uniform. On the front, the interior of the tower of the sun, which was open for the first time in about half a century in March 2018, was examined. On the front is the tree of life representing the evolution process of the organism, and the space to the future. The design on the back is the fourth face of the sun that is missing and has been restored, the "underground sun" and dinosaur graphics that appear in the process of evolution. The sleeves have been followed since last year, and the red and blue lightning bolts, and the sleeves of the field players have watermarked the part of the arm seen from the inside of the tower of the sun.

A limited commemorative uniform shirt to be presented to visitors of "GAMBA EXPO 2018" is also on display. The design is close to the players wearing uniforms, and it is a very collectible item.
The shirt size is free size only, and is distributed to annual seats and ticket holders of the day. Visitor seats are not eligible.
