AS Roma 2008-09 Away/Third kits

AS Roma, Italian serie A clubs from Rome. Roma was founded in 1927 by Italo Foschi. Roma home games are played at the Stadio Olimpico with a capacity of over 72,700, a stadium they share with SS Lazio. 2008-09 season, AS Roma head coach Luciano Spalletti and the asroma captain Francesco Totti was the main star. Also talented players on Roma team such Christian Panucci, De Rossi, John Arnie Risse, Philippe Mexes, Julio baptista and Vincenzo Montella.

Roma have been drawn in Group A of the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League in which the team will have to face Chelsea, Bordeaux and CFR Cluj. AS Roma qualified for the knockout stages of the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League as the group winners. At the knockout stage they met Arsenal, the English team win on penalty to eliminate the Roma.

AS Roma calcio away shirt has nearly same features as the home shirt but is mainly white and the larger Kappa logo on both sides of the sleeves. The AS Roma third kit will be all black with orange on logo Kappa.

AS Roma 2008-09 home kits

Before I'm posted the Valencia 2010-11 kits. I'm bring back the AS Roma 2008-09 team kits, these kits I have done before under the UEFA Champions league 2008-09 collection link.

A.S Roma the Italian Serie A teams, clubs home kit is maroon red. AS Roma kits sponsor Kappa writing has its logo placed just under the collar on the top right side of the shirt and just opposite of the Kappa logo is the club crest. Club sponsor the Italian telecommunications company Wind has its logo placed just beneath in the center of the shirt. On both sides of the sleeves is the Kappa logo and the AS Roma kits were worn with white shorts and black sock.

Olympique Marseille 2008/2009 Third/Euro kits

Olympique Marseille third shirt, the top is a gold colour with black highlights on either side of the torso as well as the traditional three stripes on the shoulders. Interesting aspect of this top is it’s 3/4 length sleeves. The club’s sponsor, N9UF, have their name written across the middle of the shirt. Shorts are all black with the adidas three stripes in gold to match the top. The socks are also black comprising of a color blocked top of gold with black striped highlights. Beautiful is the use of Olympique Marseille traditional light blue throughout the kit, even highlighting the sponsor logo across the jersey.

Olympique Marseille 2008/2009 Away kits

Today my second day been fusting for the Ramadan. Hopefully not to late to celebrate it with other friends. So for these 30 days I'll to pack with more other things, but stil updated with the latest new season team kits.

Olympique Marseille away shirt has a base colour of sky blue, with darker blue diamond patterns going acros the whole of the front of the shirt. Manufactured by Adidas, the sleeves are a secondary colour of dark blue/black. The clubs logo is on the left of the shirt when worn, and the makers logo, Adidas, have their logo on the top centre of the shirt in gold and have their three stripes in sky blue running down the sleeves. The clubs sponsor, n9ef, have their name across the centre of the shirt. N9ef sponsor were worn on the away and third shirts. Word 'Olympique de Marseille' is printed on the back the shirts collar. Also included the French Ligue 1 felt numbering and name on back. Olympique Marseille away shirts will be worn with dark blue shorts and socks is completed with the text "OM" and the adidas logo.

The club from the south east coast of France has ranked as runner-up in the 2008/09 season, Olympique Marseille home shirt is traditional colour of White. Manufactured by Adidas, there is also a sky blue collar and sky blue piping running from either side of the collar, down the sides of the shirt. Olympique de Marseille badge is embroidered on the front of the left chest of shirt and there also has a watermark of the coat of arms for the city of Marseille on the right of the shirt. The makers, Adidas, have their logo in the top centre of the shirt and they also have their three stripes running down each arm in sky blue. The club’s sponsor, Direct Energie, have their name written across the middle of the shirt. Word 'Olypique de Marseille' is printed on the back bellow the shirts collar. Also included the French Ligue felt numbering and name on back. Olympique Marseille home shirts will be worn with white shorts and socks is completed with the text "OM" and the adidas logo.

FC Shakhtar Donetsk new Nike 2008-09 team kits

Ukrainian club, FC Shakhtar Donetsk from the Donetsk region capital city of Donetsk, Ukaraine. Shakhtar currently participates in the Ukrainian Premier League. Shakhtar Donetsk 2007-08 league champions has won four league titles, six Ukrainian Cups, two Ukranian Super Cup and one La Manga Cups. Additionally, Shakhtar Donetsk have also won 4 USSR Cups, and one USSR Super Cups. Shakhtar has been playing most of its games at the multi-use RSK Olimpiyskiy stadium in Donetsk, Ukraine. The stadium's current maximum capacity is 25,831. Former Romanian football player Mircea Lucescu is currently manager of Shakhtar Donetsk since 2004. In the UEFA Champions League 2008–09 group stage Shakhtar was grouped with Barcelona, Sporting Lisbon, and FC Basel in group C. Sadly the team finished in 3rd place in group C, behind Barca and Sporting Lisbon with 6 games won 3 over FC Basel 2-1, FC Basel 5-0 and Barca 3-2, draw 0, lost 3 and were unable to progress to the knockout phase of the competition.

Shakhtar Donetsk home and away shirts for 08/09 season which is made by Nike. Shakhtar home shirt is a colour of orange and the away in whole kits white. Features embroidered Shakhtar new badge on the left chest. Shakhtar shirts new logo was unveiled in 2008, during the presentation of club's new stadium. For the first time in over 30 years, traditional symbols of the club "Crossed Hammers" were present on the crest. Nike Swoosh logo appears on the right chest. CMK sponsor screened on the front. Shakhtar home shirts will be worn with black shorts and red socks while the away in all white kits.

FC Dynamo Kyiv 2008-09 season team kits

Ukrainian Premier League team FC Dynamo Kyiv or Dynamo Kiev founded in 1927. Dynamo has won twelve league titles, nine Ukrainian Cups, one UEFA Super Cup and two UEFA Cup Winners' Cups. Additionally, they have also won 13 USSR Championships, 9 USSR Cups, and 3 USSR Super Cups. The Dynamo home ground, Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium with capacity 16.900 is situated in a picturesque park located in the centre of the Kyiv, close to the Dnieper River bank. Dynamo Kiev famous traditional colours are white and blue sash was added to the shirts, but beginning 2008-2009 season. It was replaced by a white kit with shirt having thin blue vertical stripes, for the first time in over 50 years a Dynamo has worn such a pattern. Blue is still a main colour of the Dynamo away kit.

Dynamo shirts current sponsors, Adidas and Ukrainian bank Privat Bank. Two embroidered golden star was added at the top of the Dynamo badge in order to celebrates Dynamo two success. First in 2003 after a Dynamo won their 10th domestic trophy a golden star and second star was added to the logo in 2007 during celebrations of Dynamo's 80 year anniversary.

In the UEFA Champions League 2008–09 group stage Dynamo was grouped with Porto, Arsenal FC and Fenerbahche in group G. Sadly the team finished in 3rd place in group G, behind Porto and Arsenal with 6 games won 2 over, draw 2, lost 2 and were unable to progress to the knockout phase of the competition.

FC Zenit St. Petersburg kits Uefa Super Cup 2008 finals.

Puma special kits for FC Zenit Saint Petersburg final UEFA Super Cup 2008 match on 29 August 2008 at the Stade Louis II in Monaco. Zenit the 34th UEFA Super Cup new champions winning 2–1 against the 2007-08 Champions League winners Manchester United, Pavel Pogrebnyak (44') scored the first goal and Danny Alves (59" scored the second. The Zenit special final UEFA Super Cup shirts mainly in light blue with the Puma logo appearing on the left shoulders only. The Zenit shirts has a long collar and sleeves with a white trim. The Zenit kits crest appears is embroidered on the front of the left chest of shirt The sponsors for the kits are Gazprom is heat pressed across the middle of the shirt. Zenit shirts will be worn with light blue shorts and socks.

FC Zenit St. Petersburg team kits Champions league 2008-09

Russian richest clubs FC Zenit Saint Petersburg the holders of the 2008 UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup, in the UEFA Champions League 2008–09 group stage Zenit was grouped with Real Madrid C.F, Juventus F.C, and FC BATE in group H. Sadly the team finished in 3rd place in group H, behind Juve and Real Madrid with 6 games won 1 over FC BATE, draw 2, lost 3 and were unable to progress to the knockout phase of the competition. FC Zenit plays in the Russian Premier League and won the 2007 the league, that allowed Zenit to compete in the group stage of the Champions League 2008-09.
For the moment Petrovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg with capacity 21,570 is the Zenit home grounds, and Dick Advocaat the clubs manager since July 2006.

FC BATE Borisov 2008-09 Champions League kits

Belarus clubs FC BATE Borisov (Borisov Works of Automobile and Tractor Electronic Equipment) from the Borisov city playing in Belarusian Premier League. BATE are the reigning champions. They also currently compete in UEFA Champions League 2008-09 on Group H with Real Madrid, Juventus and Zenit. BATE home stadium is the Borisov City Stadium with capacity 5,500. BATE was founded in 1973 and re-established in 1996. Viktor Mikhailovich Goncharenko is a Belarusian football coach who is currently head manager of FC BATE. Under Goncharenko's leadership, BATE in 2008 became the first club from Belarus to qualify for the lucrative group stages of the UEFA Champions League after they defeated PFC Levski Sofia 2-1 on aggregate.



Kits by Adidas, BATE home shirt has a yellow base colour and blue as secondary colour. The collar is round and yellow. Being Adidas, it has three stripes going down the sleeves in blue while Adidas logo is in on the right chest. The BATE badge is on the left when worn. Under the arms, there is a curved stripe mainly in blue going down to the end of the BATE shirts. The stripe continues at the back of the shirt and is connected to the underarm end of the front stripe. At the back, the stripe gets thinner and forms a U-shape. BATE shirts will be worn with blue shorts (for alternative with yellow shorts) and the yellow socks is completed with the adidas logo.


BATE away shirt reverse from the home kits, has a blue base colour and yellow as secondary colour. The collar is round and blue. Aalborg BK new 2008-09 EURO kits.

Aalborg BK are the current Danish Superliga Champions. Currently AaB under manager Magnus Pehrsson is a former national Swedish football player who will become manager of Danish Superliga team AaB on 1 January 2009. Energi Nord Arena at Aalborg with capacity 13,000 in league Match are the clubs home grounds.



Aalborg BK special EURO 2008-09 shirts in navy blue and dark brown on the main part of the AaB shirts. With the left sleeves are dark blue. Printed Hummel logo appears in the centre of the shirt and the AaB club badge is embroidered on the front of the left chest of shirt. AaB sponsor, Spar Nord word in the middle of the shirt. Aalborg BK new 2008-09 team kits

The current Danish Superliga Cahampions Aalborg Boldspilklub also known as Aalborg BK or AaB is a Danish club based in the city of Aalborg. Energi Nord Arena in Aalborg with the capacity 13,000 was the AaB home grounds.AaB kits sponsor for the club is hummel, and the principal sponsor for the Aalborg BK team is the regional bank Spar Nord. AaB was founded on May 13, 1885. Aalborg BK currently manager Magnus Pehrsson is a retired national Swedish football player since 1 January 2009.
The new home 2008-09 AaB shirts is vertically striped in red and white on the main part of the shirt, while the sleeves are red. Hummel word logo in gold appears in the centre of the shirt and the AaB club badge is embroidered on the front of the left chest of shirt. There'a a small different between the Aalborg BK Champion League shirts and danish Super Liga. The AaB shirts back players numbers shirts and in navy blue and numbers also appears on short. While the domestic league kits, AaB shirts numbers in gold with red outline. There also a cut section on the Champions League shirts sleeve for UEFA badge.

Celtic FC 2008-09 new away kits

Celtic FC, Nike away 2008-09 shirt is a fairly simplistic design. It is almost yellow, with some green piping around the collar also some green piping around the ends of the sleeves. Inscription inside of the collar reads "It's not the creed nor nationality that counts. It's the man himself". The text 'Celtic' is printed on the back of the collar Celtic FC shirts. Celtic FC badge is embroidered on the front of the left chest of shirt. One green star is embroidered above the crest representing Celtic FC lone Champion's League title and the maker embroidered Nike Swoosh logo appears on the right chest in green. Celtic FC sponsor, Carling logo is heat pressed across the middle of the shirt. Celtic FC shirts will be worn with green shorts. The yellow Celtic FC away socks is completed with the words "Celtic" and the nike logo printed in green.

UEFA Champions league 2008-09 shirt number and players name lettering.

I noticed few team during the UEFA Champions League 2008-09 with the shirt number printed with UEFA Champions League logo. Does the champions league have its own shirt printing this season. Chelsea, Arsenal and Celtic teams with these CL players lettering and numbers printed on their shirts and shorts. Also on the list Spaniash club Vallerial at their first UEFA Champions league match. If anyone have any idea these numbers and lettering fonts, please share and give few comments.

Celtic FC Champions League shirts have a plain white back because of the UEFA rules about the numbers visibility. You can see that it's the same for the other Champions League teams with special kits such Barcelona shirts have a plain blue back and Inter shirts have a plain black back.
