South Korea football team has emerged as a major football power in Asia, winning several prestigious Asian football championships, including the first two Asian Cup tournaments. In the 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Group B, South Korea football team was grouped with Korea DPR. Saudi Arabia, Iran and United Arab Emirates.
South Korea football home shirt is in the pinkish red, wore with matching socks and white shorts. South Korea jerseys both use the same template, Nike badge on right chest, South Korea badge on left, player number central on the kit. South Korea home shirt has a white collar and white trimming (away with blue) at the end of the sleeves, there is also two small curves of white which come out of the bottom of the shirt near the bottom. The Nike swoosh logo on the right chest is in white, whilst on the right chest if the Korean Football Association’s badge with “KOREA” written beneath it in blue. This is the first shirt Nike has produced for the South Korea national team since they signed an extended contract with them worth $27 million over four years.
The Korea Republic away has white base colour wore with red shorts, design and template similiar with the home kits.
South Korea wore the home kits with the white shorts and red socks during their World Cup 2010 Asian qualifying football match. At the FIFA U20 World Cup 2009, in Egypth, sometimes the team wore the home kits in all red kits.
