The black line in the middle provides a stable base for La Lupa Capitolina and her twins. Additional features the writing Roma as well as the founding year of the club, 1927 in the typeface Trajan Pro have opted to replace the ‘ASR’ initials. The colors have been revamped, too. Brazil World Cup 1974 home kits

Reputation as 1970 World Cup holders, Brazil started the first round in Group 2 without key 1970 players like Pele who had retired from international football and other stars. Still, with Jairzinho and Rivelino could be expected to make a decent stab at World Cup glory, especially with 1970 coach Mário Zagallo still in charge. The group was decided by how many goals could Brazil, Yugoslavia and Scotland score to defeat Zaire. Every other game played in the group was drawn so the three top teams finished with four points each.
Brazil started the group stage with two consecutive 0-0 draws vs Yugoslavia and then Scotland, and only scraped through in second place after a 3-0 win over Zaire gave them a goal difference one better than Scotland. In the Second Round group stage, Brazil beat East Germany 1-0 and then satisfying 2-1 win over Argentina. But then in the final group game, which was in effect a World Cup semi-final, Zagallo’s Brazil faced the Total Football of 1974’s surprise team, the Netherlands: Brazil lost 2-0. Brazil went on to lose the third place playoff game 1-0 to Poland.

Same as World Cup 1970 kits, only inside label different, the Brazil still with the Brazilian made sportswear Athleta. Without any maker logo is placed on the shirt with the CBF crest additional 3 stars on the top left part of the chest. The shirts was worn with the previous World Cup 70 blue shorts with white trim detailed and white away shorts.
