Argentine Superliga, just three years after its creation, but it failed in that purpose the Argentine Superliga came to an end. As a result, AFA would take over the organisation of Primera División championships, so the highest category will return to the hands of the AFA.
It was expected that Superliga was dissolved once the 2020 edition of Copa de la Superliga Argentina finished, and taking the advantage of the stoppage of the championships due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Superliga was replaced by a similar body, named "Liga Profesional de Fútbol" in May 2020, the LFP was launched by the AFA. San Lorenzo president Marcelo Tinellli has become the first leader of this new league, which will include the 24 teams from the current Superliga.
A radical revolution, and a bit of a step back, the all-new Argentina Logo comes with a more traditional look than the Superliga Argentina. The new branding is similar to the official AFA one. The Liga Argentina logo comes with the letters LPF for Liga Profesional de Fútbol. The logo launched by the oraganization to pay tribute to the "True Idols" who are fighting the pandemic.
The brand new images will wear a style similar to the historical one that has represented the AFA for decades. In the upper part, the acronym of the federation will be seen with the colors of the national flag and below it will combined two shades of gold and inside LFP in blue. Since 2021 for sponsorship reasons, the Primera División (English: "First Division"), named Torneo Socios.com (Tournament Socios.com) for sponsorship reasons
