The new season Selangor FC away jersey was launch through the Let's Cope with A Neon Hope campaign in conjunction with World Cancer Day in collaboration with TDC, also joined by the National Cancer Council (MAKNA), National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) and Sunway Medical .
The launch was held at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center on February 4, 2022 from as early as 2pm to 9pm. This date is World Cancer Day which is officially celebrated annually in over 60 countries around the world to raise awareness about cancer as well as drive its prevention, detection, and treatment.
A variety of exciting activities await you on the day including the launch of the latest Selangor FC 'Away' jersey, the introduction of the SFC 2022 lineup, a question and answer session with Herlison Caion and Hyuri Henrique, a 'Meet & Greet' with all Selangor FC players and a FREE cancer screening in conjunction with the celebration. World Cancer Day.
The 'Away' 2022 jersey this time was inspired by the story of Selangor FC Team Leader, Brendan Gan who successfully fought cancer last July and has now returned to the Red Yellow camp for a training session with his teammates. Selangor FC wants to encourage and raise public awareness of cancer as a whole.
The campaign also aims to further raise awareness about cancer to the public and express support for all cancer fighters across the country. Not to forget also, the campaign also emphasizes and encourages early screening to prevent the disease, as well as giving a message of hope to all that cancer can be overcome and treated. In addition, the Selangor FC management has unanimously contributed a total of RM5 from each sale of the SFC Away kit jersey to MAKNA and also NCSM to help cancer patients who are battling the disease.
The main color of the Away 2022 jersey is 'Teal', combining refreshing blue and green and bringing a sense of renewal, also representing open communication and clarity thinking of the Selangor FC team facing the Malaysian League this new season. The addition of 'Fuchsia' color on this jersey is also very close to the World Cancer Day campaign which means brave, enthusiastic and confident and not afraid to fight which are positive qualities that can be an impetus for cancer fighters to overcome the disease.
