AS Roma had a great 09/10 season, finishing in second place in Serie A, narrowly missing out on the top spot but gaining qualification for the Champions League. Roma have been drawn in Group E of the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League in which the team will have to face Bayern Munich, Basel and CFR Cluj.
All 2010/11 kits feature the Roma’s traditional kit colours – maroon red for home, white for away and black for third. Of note is that Roma’s home maroon red with a golden yellow trim represents the traditional colors of the Eternal City, the official seal of the comuni features the same colors. The gold symbolizes God in Roman Catholicism, while the maroon represents imperial dignity. Their kits are still made by Kappa. The home shirt as per last season has a thick orange collar, although it is now round, and also thick rimmed cuffs on the sleeves. Looking more closely at the seams though you can see it has changed and quite a bit from Kappa's normal design. The team crest is on the left of the shirt and the makers have their logo on the right of the shirt and also running down both shoulders in
orange. The club sponsors have their name and logo in the centre of the shirt. The shirt will be worn with white shorts and black socks.
