Malaysia 2010-12 team kits

To started the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 kits collection, I'm started with Malaysia national team. The nation were in group A with host Indonesia, Thailand and qualifiers winner, Laos.
Malaysia the winners AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 team beating Indonesia 4-2 on aggregate in the finals, have never won this Football Championship before, but came close in 1996 when they ranked runners-up, and they also ranked third three times in 2000, 2004 and 2007, and fourth in 2002. Malaysia had a selection of 14 players at the age of under-23 in the final 22 men squad, begin their campaign on the 1st December with a embarrassing lost of 5-1 against Indonesia. Malaysia bounced back from their defeat and later drew against Thailand at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on the 4th December and beat Laos 5-1 in their final Group A clash 7th December, with the victory securing K. Rajagopal's team a place in the semi-finals of the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup. Victory over Laos coupled with Thailand's loss at the hands of Indonesia in Jakarta means Malaysia's total of four points is enough to take them into the last four, where they will meet the winners of Group B.

Malaysia qualified to the semi finals to met Group B winners and the defending champions Vietnam. At the first leg, Malaysia won 2-0 against Vietnam at home soil and later drew at the second leg. The final aggregate was 2-0 to Malaysia. Malaysia stunned favourites Indonesia 3-0 to grab a decisive advantage in the first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup final, The game at the Bukit Jalil Stadium. On the second leg of the finals that was held in Jakarta, Malaysia lost 2-1 to Indonesia but the final aggregate was 4-2 to Malaysia, hence giving the title to Malaysia under the management of K. Rajagopal. Safee Sali the Malaysian forward netted his fifth goal of the AFF Suzuki Cup on the final game to bag the tournament's top scorer award.

Malaysia away jersey wore the change black home shorts on the second leg of the finals that was held in Jakarta, Malaysia lost 2-1 to Indonesia.

The kits of the Malaysia 2010/12 are manufactured by Nike (third generation). Launched in Kuala Lampur 0n November 2010, Nike Malaysia created a new football kit for the Malaysian specially made for the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup.

The home shirt has a yellow base colour with a black collar and black sleeves. On the body, there are three colomns of horizontal black stripes. The shirt has yellow details on the sleeves, and it is complemented by black shorts with yellow side details, and yellow socks with black details. While yellow shirts have been the traditional first-choice colours for the Tigers, they have regularly worn their alternate kit during this year's tournament. The home shirt made appearance on the opening match againts Indonesia only.
Malaysia’s away shirt uses the same colours of the national flag. The shirt has a blue base colour. The sleeves are divided into three differently colours parts, with the part touching the shoulder being red, the part near and including the sleeve hem being blue, and a white stripe separating these two parts. Nike put the Malaysian flag as their logo instead of putting the Football Association of Malaysia logo, as the great national team of the 1970s, they have the Malaysian flag instead of the FAM logo. The statistics seem to support that view as Malaysia have been unbeaten so far in the blue kit, winning three of the four game that they have played in it.
