Slovenia WC 2010 team kits

Entered the tournament for the first time at 2002 World Cup, the FIFA World Cup 2010 Slovenia were drawn into Group C alongside England, Algeria and USA. Slovenia won their opening game against Algeria in Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane 1–0. In their second game against the United States, Slovenia were drew 2–2 and in their last match in the preliminary round, Slovenia lost to England 0–1 by a goal from Jermain Defoe. Because the United States beat Algeria with the only goal scored in the 92nd minute of the match, the Slovenian team was eliminated.

Nike and Slovenia have been partners for more than three years, for the 2010 FIFA World Cup would see the return of Triglav silhouette on the chest impression with its zig-zag stripe of Slovenian jerseys appear at 2002 World Cup. Representative of Slovenia's highest peak Mount Triglav, appears in green over the chest. Together with the depiction of the national symbol, the green colour symbolizes the nature and green forests. The shirt is a short sleeved design with a v-shaped neckline and is made from 100% polyester using Nike's unique Dri-Fit fabric technology. Both, home and away jersey, have the word "Slovenija" on the outer side of the collar.
The number and player's name on the back of the jersey are made from a special porous material, which makes the jersey even more airy and light. But the biggest difference from the previous jerseys now is Nike's awareness for the nature, as the jersey itself is an ecological innovation, made our of recycled polyester. Each jersey is therefore made out of approximately eight plastic bottles, and designed in a way that it offers airiness and the biggest possible comfort, putting its part into a mosaic of a good performance the players in Nike's jerseys put in for Slovenian team.

The Slovenian away kits was worn for just one match in whole tournament against ALGERIA at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane. First Round, 13 June, 2010.
