Selangor FA (The Football Association of Selangor) or in Malay Persatuan Bolasepak Selangor, teams with full of great traditition in Malaysia league represent the state of Selangor. Founded in 22 February 1936 and also well known as The Red Giants and team merah-kuning from Selangor FA die hard fan. Selangor FA is based in Shah Alam it was the first planned city in Malaysia after independence in 1957.
Since 2006 season Selangor FA play in the top division in Malaysian football, the Malaysian Super League. Their home stadium is the Shah Alam Stadium with a capacity to 80,000.
Selangor FA is the most succesful team has the distinction of being both the most popular and the most loathed team in the country with 30 Malaysia Cups started from 1922, 1927, 1935, 1936, 1938, 1939, 1956, 1959, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2002, to 2005

Selangor FA with a same home and away adidas kit as 2006 season, the 3rd kit are the only new kits make a debut against Brunei DPM. The Selangor water works corporation (SYABAS) who provides water supply to the state of Selangor in Malaysia are the main sponsor for Selangor FA team. Season 2006-07 see Selangor FA the only team in Malaysia Super League without the import players, all their regular squad with new breeds players and local talents in Malaysia football scenes.
