Holland UEFA EURO 2008 Away kits

Netherlands with a new Nike shirts poses for a team picture prior the international friendly match between Austria and Netherlands at the Ernst Happel stadium on March 26, 2008 in Vienna, Austria. Holland new away kit made no appearance in any match at the recently UEFA EURO 2008 tournament.

The new Holland national team away kit for the 2008/2009 season has been officially launched by the KNVB. For the first time in Dutch football kit history there has been chosen for the colour "Nassau blue", a colour that has a narrow tie with the Royal Dutch Family. The three colours of the national flag - red, white and blue - runs across the chest in thin lines. The modern V-neck has a "Kings blue" colour. The very same colour can be found in a subtle line on the side of the shirt and in the Name and Number on the back. The logo of the KNVB is displayed on the left side, the Nike logo on the right.

The shirt is made of Nike Dry-FIT material. This innovatieve material transports the sweat through the shirt quickly, so that the shirt is dryer, cooler and remains lighter . On the back is a thin ventilation panel of gauze material put in, that helps to lower the bodies temperature.
At the inside of the collar stands the first lines of the Dutch national anthem called "The Wilhelmus". It says in small letters: "Wilhelmus van Nassouwe, ben ik, van Duitsen bloed, den Vaderland getrouwe, blijf ik tot in den dood."
The English version: "William of Nassau, scion Of a Dutch and ancient line, I dedicate undying Faith to this land of mine."
Completely in style, the shorts in "Kings blue" with a white line on the side, while the socks are "Nassau blue",with a red-white-blue flag on the middle of the sock.
During the away game against Belarus on 21 November, the Dutch natonal football team will be wearing their new 08/09 away football kit. This is also the kit in which Holland possibly will play during the upcoming EURO 2008 tournament in Austria and Switzerland.
During the design proces of new 08/09 Holland kit designs Nike has gotten their inspiration from the Amsterdam canals, the Rotterdam cube houses and the water realm landscape.
