Barcelona FC 2007/08 kits celebrate 50th Anniversary Nou Camp

On the socks and on the hem of the shirt, an image directly inspired by the poster produced for the inauguration of the Camp Nou in 1957.

The slogan 'Mes que un club' (More than a club) remain on the back and on the collar and the Catalan flag, the 'senyera'.

Barcelona home and away shirts for the 2007/2008 season are a tribute to the club's 50 years at their Nou Camp with gold embroidery around the Barcelona's badge on the shirt with details that celebrate the date. Around the badge :"Camp Nou" and "1957-2007". NIKE new design has an elegant style reminiscent of the fifties but with a modern touch in the distribution of the stripes. For the first time, the FC Barcelona away kit is an energetic mix of shades of blue, inspired by the blue seas that surround Barcelona. A stripe of shades of blue reflects the traditional stripes of Barcelona and add depth to the shirt. An energetic touch of yellow around the cuffs, on the inside of the waistband and on the name and number give the kit great strength.
The main new features of both the home and away kits are to be found in the FC Barcelona badge, which incorporates a text referring to the 50th anniversary of the stadium. The central part of the new kit remains navy blue but has a more irregular pattern. Blue is also to be found on the shorts.
50th anniversary of the Camp Nou
Camp Nou (Catalan for "our field", often reversed in English to become Nou Camp) is a football stadium in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It has a capacity of 98,787.
The stadium, built between 1954 and 1957, was designed by architects Francesc Mitjans-Miro, Lorenzo Garcia Barbon and Josep Soteras Mauri. FC Barcelona won their first game at Camp Nou in impressive fashion, a 4-2 victory against Legia Warsaw with Eulogio Martinez scoring the first goal at the new stadium. Over 90,000 fans were present at this momentous occasion.
The stadium consists of facilities such as a memorabilia shop, mini pitches for training matches, and a quaint little chapel for players to seek divine assistance before matches. At the stadium stands the most visited museum at Catalonia: El Museu del Barca receives about 1.200.000 visits per year. The museum was inaugurated in 1984 under the presidence of Josep Lluis Nunez. The museum shows 1.420 pieces about FC Barcelona's history, of which 420 are trophies of all the FC Barcelona sections.

FC Barcelona won their first game at Camp Nou in impressive fashion, a 4-2 victory against NOT Legia Warsaw BUT Poland national football team. There were some problems of polish comunist goverments and of that reason they changed team name from Poland National Football Team into Warsaw Representive Team. But guys were the same. There were a little change on their t-shirt. There were no polish proud white eagle but sign of Warsaw - mermaid.

Hi. Just for the record, "Nou Camp / Camp Nou" doesn't mean "Our field", but "New field"
