England World Cup 1982

June 29th, 1982 against West Germany in Madrid. England wore a variation of this design. The Blue line across the chest was in the middle of the white band, instead of underneath it and they wore black outline squad numbers on the right thigh. At the half-time however Paul Mariner and Phil Thompson changed into the shirts worn against France.

June 16th, 1982 against France. This was the first uniform in which England wore numbered short. The number were red and appeared on the right thigh of the white shorts. Later they wore Black outline short, this may have been because the red numbers were not secure enough to last a whole game. Paul Mariner's number 11 had fallen of his shorts before the end of the match againts France. Admiral logo not appeared on shirt & short.

Home kit. Admiral logos were worn at the base of the numbers on the back shirt for the first time against Kuwait in June 25th, 1982.
