Finished in 16th position in the league at the end of the 2009/10 season to remain play in the top French Ligue 1 currently season, Football Club Sochaux-Montbéliard from the town of Montbéliard. FC Sochaux is currently recognized as one of the very best sources of young talent in France and was founded by Jean-Pierre Peugeot, a prominent member of the Peugeot family, and is one of the founding members of the first division of French football. former football defender and former manager of RC Lens, the club head coach of FC Sochaux since1 January 2008.
On the last day of the French Ligue 1 2009-10, Sochaux revealed their new range Lotto kit for the 2010/11 season. The away shirt is mainly white which resembles the design version as used by Fiorentina 2010/11 kits. The lotto logo is featured on the top center part whilst the club crest is featured on the top left part with club sponsor Franche-Comte having its logo on the top right part of the shirt. Mobil1 have their brand logo featured beneath the club crest.
