Yesterday I'm posted the home kits, to continue the France away and third kits was worn from the 1967 through 1972. Same design as the home kits, France away in white, compliment with the blue short.
These away kits graphic base on the France, EURO 1972, qualifying match against Norway at Oslo.
The first red jersey of the team of France in 1906. At the time France were playing in white and had been England who also played by White. France had played so red and had been thrashed by England. Other fact, the away shirt was red until the beginning of the 1960s and then it became white. It was due to the TV
in black and white at this time, so the different team needed to have contrasted colors. On a black and white TV, a blue shirt is grey, and a red shirt is grey. So to help the telespectectors, the scond shirt must be really different from the home shirt.
GREAT!!
ReplyDeleteI do not think that the red shirt was really used during a match ?
