Thailand the three time ASEAN Football Championship (1996, 2000 and 2002) and two times finalist have been drawn in Group A of this AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 competition together with Indonesia, Malaysia and Laos. Bryan Robson former England and Manchester United midfielder manage the team since September 2009 not manage to bring the team for semifinal on these edition.
Thailand’s new shirts are manufactured by Nike, which will officially be used for the first time in a competition at the Suzuki Cup 2010 Tournament. Their new home shirt is primarily yellow featuring a red, white and blue band across the top part of the shirt, with the Nike ‘swoosh’ logo placed on the top right part of the shirt, the national team emblem placed on the opposite left and the player number placed in the center part of the shirt. Since October 2007, Thailand FA has changed the national team’s home kit from all-red to yellow shirts when games were played around the time of the King Bhumibol Adulyadej's 80th birthday celebrations on December 5th, as the King’s official colour is yellow. Now the change has become a permanent one.
The new kits with the same technology of those used in the previous World Cup. There is a strip of the Thai national flag across the chest to symbolize national unity while the Football Association of Thailand's crest to the left chest. The inside the kit is embossed the word “Chaiyo” (translate in English "Victory") which was uttered by the King Rama VI (the sixth) while watching the national team's very first match and victory against a foreign team. Also inside the kit's collar is a Thai crown, the very first symbol of the football association, bestowed by the King Rama VI (the sixth) himself. The Thai's AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 home kit consists of a all yellow shorts, and socks.
