Toronto FC 2009/2010 team kits

Major League Soccer club, Toronto FC, is a non-American team football club located in Toronto, Ontario and the first Canadian team in the United States' pre-eminent professional soccer league, Major League Soccer (MLS). Toronto FC was founded in 2006 and the club's owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, who operate the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs, the AHL's Toronto Marlies, and the NBA's Toronto Raptors. TFC plays its home games at BMO Field, located in Exhibition Place along the Toronto lake shore. The stadium is owned by the City of Toronto, and managed by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. has a capacity of 20,500. BMO Field was known as the National Soccer Stadium during international FIFA competitions. Chris Cummins is an English football coach and currently the interim head Coach of Toronto FC. He was officially named interim head Coach on April 29, 2009 following John Carver's resignation.Toronto FC's title sponsor, which can be found on the front of their uniforms and on most team merchandise, is the Bank of Montreal (BMO). Toronto FC is known for their distinct red home colours, giving them the nickname "The Reds". The team has been called "TFC" and "the Reds" by the media and the club. The official Toronto FC colours are red (jerseys, shorts and socks) with white trim, and light grey jerseys and socks with black shorts and dark grey trim.

Toronto FC home jersey for the 2009 season has been designed by Adidas with cool mesh panels and moisture-wicking ClimaCool fabric sure to keep cool and comfortable throughout the entire MLS season. The jersey also has mesh inserts for ventilation across the back, neck and under arms. TFC shirt is red, features a traditional collar and has the Adidas 3 stripe effect along the top of the shoulders in white and dark gray. The TFC logo is found on the left hand side of the chest with the Adidas logo in its traditional position below the neck and has a distinctly Canadian flavour with an embossed maple leaf featured in the centre. The club sponsor BMO is found in the middle of the shirt in white with an embroidered Canadian flag patch on the left and the MLS logo on the right sleeve. The phrase 'ALL FOR ONE' is printed on the back of the collar to symbolize the unique relationship between the team and its supporters.
Toronto FC away is gray in colour. It features a V-shaped neck with a red outline. The logo positioning is the same as the home shirt along with the Adidas stripes but they appear in Gray will be the base color with red, and black becoming the secondary colors; typical Adidas red pin strips over black on the shoulders. Same Adidas logo on the chest, Toronto FC crest on the left, MLS logo on the sleeve, sponsor logo on the front also includes an embossed maple leaf.


Toronto FC third/special shirt will be made on the same template but the colors will be played around with. The jersey is Pink in colour. It features a V-shaped neck with a dark gray outline. The logo positioning is the same as the home shirt along with the Adidas stripes but they appear in white will be the base color with dark gray on the shoulders. Same Adidas logo on the chest, Toronto FC crest on the left, MLS logo on the sleeve, sponsor logo on the front. Toronto FC wearing a new third pink jersey in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF). Toronto FC two match games (against New York Red Bulls & San Jose Earthquakes) where the team will wear these special jerseys. At this match, fans will be able to donate to the CBCF at the gates. Interim head coach Chris Cummins will be wearing a pink shirt, while the rest the technical staff will wear a CBCF pin on game day. Some of the game worn jerseys will be signed by the players and then donated to the CBCF for their silent auctions.
