Panathinaikos FC Centenary shirt for 2008

One of the oldest clubs in Greek football, Panathinaikos F.C. the Greece Super League team from Athens, Greece. Founded in 1908, Panathinaikos have won 19 Greek championship titles, 16 Greek Cups and in 1971 they reached the European Champion Clubs' Cup final. Panathinaikos have played their home in Athens Olympic Stadium for the 2008/2009 Greek Super League season and UEFA Cup matches with the capacity 71,000. Henk ten Cate from Holland currently the manager of Panathinaikos since 13th June 2008 with a two-years deal. Panathinaikos shirt these season were worn by talented players such Gilberto Silva, Silva Cleyton, Gabriel all from Brazil and Greece based players as Giorgos Karagounis, Alexandros Tziolis, Dimitris Salpigidis.





On January 6, 2008, Panahthinaikos have launched a two new Centenary shirt (home and away), honouring the club's past and in part of the centenary season's celebrations. A centennial year logo was also introduced, chosen via the club's website through a contest that took place within all Panathinaikos' fans in 2007. The logo combines Panathinaikos' traditional logo along with the number 100. It was designed by Nikos Karokis, an electrical-engineer and dedicated fan of the team.
Panathinaikos Centenary shirt for 2008, which is predominetly green, manufactured by adidas, there are no three stripes on the sleeves, just the company’s logo on the right chest. On the left hand sleeve of the shirt is a smaller badge which includes the dates 1908 and 2008. The logo of Panathinaikos the Shamrock is on the left chest in white. For 2008-09 new season, Panathinaikos shirt were worn with three white stripes on the sleeves.





Panathinaikos shirt for 2008-09 Greece super League, Whilst it is manufactured by adidas launched in 3 version (home, away and third), there are no three stripes on the sleeves, just the company’s logo on the right chest. On the left hand sleeve of the shirt is a smaller badge which includes the dates 1908 and 2008. The logo of Panathinaikos the Shamrock is on the left chest.
