United States Centenary Kit 2013

Partnered with Nike, the United States soccer federation will be celebrating its 100th year of operation throughout 2013. The design pays tribute to the
centennial milestone, giving the uniform a classic image with advanced materials of today’s Nike kits. Known originally as the United States of America Foot
Ball Association, the organization was formed in April 1913. Three years later, the team played its first game against Sweden in Stockholm where they were victorious 3-2. The new kit celebrates the centenary and is inspired by the uniform worn in that game.

The authentic version of the release is shipped with a commemorative box. Only 2013 of the limited edition box sets are available for
purchase, but it appears there will be no set limit on the non-authentic version of the kit.
The USA Centenary shirt uses a solid white design with obsidian blue collar and sleeve detailing. The V-neck is noticeably wide and deep to match the 1913 kit. Vent details on the right and left hem represent the nation’s iconic stars and stripes, while the inner neck detail also celebrates U.S Soccer’s centennial year. A standout feature of the new kit is the crest. The enlarged crest, is interwoven to maximize the top’s luxurious feel. The crest's 13 stars and 13 stripes replicates the motif of the 1913 kit and symbolizes the first American flag of the original 13 colonies.

The shorts are white with an obsidian blue trim along each side and have the full crest and a white swoosh detail. The socks are white and have "USA" woven into the design.

Oman 2012-13 team kits

The eight participating teams were divided into two groups, Oman were placed in Group A, with the Bahrain (host nation), Qatar and United Arab Emirates.
The new kit, designed for the Oman national team by Taj, a new Omani-based company, has been created using a unique performance fabric which will give maximum aid to the players on the field especially during the hot season experienced in Oman. The kit has been designed to showcase the colours of the Omani flag and all the profits generated from its sales will be injected into the OFA’s grassroots football programme in Oman.

When the Oman Football Association decided to update the national team jersey, the process began with the development of goals for the new kit, which focused on:
• Creating a look that isboth sharp and iconic
• Representing the Sultanate and its love of football proudly through the design
• Utilizing material technology that provides Oman teams on the pitch with a strategic advantage, especially given the generally warm local climate
• Assuring that revenue from both the making and the sales of the jersey benefits Oman

The OFA team quickly realized their goals were extremely Oman-centric, and that to create a new shirt that achieves them, designers who really understand Oman were required. This is why the OFA created a new brand, Taj, operated by local professionals.
Meanwhile the new OFA logo has been designed as a fresh representation of the Association’s core values of passion for football, fair play, social responsibility and ambassador of Oman. The logo will be at the forefront of the OFA’s new marketing campaign – Everybody Loves Football - aimed at getting more people playing and watching football across the Sultanate of Oman.
